Whats the Time?

Want a new clock. Why settle for something round and ordinary or something red/green... Two new clocks will have you doing the time warp.

First is the hourglass desk clock. Its in the shape of an hourglass, but has a red line going down the length of it. With the hours displayed on the top half and the minutes on the bottom. They spin to tell the time. Cool design.

The second one is a digital glass timer that is square. It uses tetris like blocks to represent the time that has passed. Oh and it tells the time... This is sure to keep you mesmeric for hours...

BBC to Get Kids to Write its News for Them

The BBC today unveiled radical plans to rebuild its website around user-generated content, including blogs and home videos, with the aim of creating a public service version of MySpace.com.

Yay for homemade news. Now lets watch and see if this gets overrun with evil...

Great idea but skeptical of what evil doers will do to this great idea, tarnishing it forever and making sure that the average user doesn't trust it and then has to rely on corporate/ideological newscasters

Introducing The Long War

America will no longer use "The War on Terror" to label its genocide war against terror/Islam/middle east. Instead it will be called "The Long War". For some reason "The Cold War" springs to mind. Even though I was not alive for most of it. The Cold War was named so, becuase Russia is cold, the war was kinda like winter. Nothing happened, possibly becuase it was too cold to go out and play. Oh and the nuclear thing and the fact that if they did use them we would still be in a nuclear winter...

Someone Gets a New Job

George Bush picked Tony Snow, a broadcaster on the stridently conservative Fox News network, as the White House's new press spokesman.

Bush's approval rating has now reached a new low of 38%. Eight percent higher than Kim Beazley.

San Fransico International Film Festival

The SIFF has a really cool internet app, that allows you to reedit/remix the films that were shown at the festival into your own movie. Not only is this a cool idea but its well exicuted as well.

Pimp My Snack

In a similar and eerily familiar vein, Pimp Snack, takes your average chocolate bar and makes it big, much bigger. Rumors have it that they have a reverse polarity shrink ray, or RPSR for short.

I feel the need, the need for speed!

"Speed is often considered a bad thing. The general sentiment is that if you are going fast, the probability of a mistake is higher. It is often believed that speed makes one sloppy, or results in missed opportunities. How many times in our childhood did we hear such phrases as, “slow down and do it right”?

I have come to believe quite the opposite. I feel that speed can help sharpen your senses and add to your focus."

Flat TV

The first Flat screen TV was actually invented in 1958. But because of problems with patents and other intangible nonsense. We had to put up with rounded screens for a really long time. Even now we still have 50+ year old technology in my lounge room.
